Yeah, well I just got a nice Tiny comment. So, I am happy.

I already voted... lots of 7s and 6s, but a lot below that too.

I'll comment honestly on them all if I won't get beat up...

I've made 23 comments so far, quite a few of which are not snapshots. I'm learning my lesson about the value of striving to keep an open mind. And you're not a contriver. You don't belong in any box: from whom do you think I learned the lesson about an open mind?

And to think that it started with a 5. Then took a nose dive like an eagle going for his prey to 3.0142. Now up to 5.1081. O_o

Some of the early scores were ridiculous.

Still holding over six which is nice - would be even better had I not got that 2

It would be 6.13 without the 2. It's making less and less of a difference as more votes come in, though. :)

I was bored, so I did the math. :)

Thanks Wendy.
True, more votes smooth it out.

I don't usually worry about voting but it just seemed to get my back up this time.

That's probably because you're attached to your entry more than usual. I have the same thing -- the 2s and 3s got to me, but it's settling down now. Every once in awhile I get an entry that's just more "special". I just don't understand why others can't see it as well. :D

And when I'm happy with the image, screw the voters. :) I'm going out and shoot something.

good for you!! :)

Just received a comment which also advised they had given me a 1.
I'm totally lost for words on this one as I just can't see the reasoning behind it.

So climbing my way back to 6 again.

Same person has just come back and added further to their comment.
To much for me â€Â¦ for the first time I have reported a comment.
I am absolutely shattered to have received this type of insulting comment from a member of this site.

Am I 'over reacting'? I have taken a screen shot of it (in case it is altered) and I will let you decide once the challenge is over.
Sometimes words cut deep.

Judging by the votes others are not seeing what this person is seeing and I have once again managed to climb my way back over 6 again.

Hard to say, not having seen the comment. I had a comment reported once, and was forced by a craven SC to change it or have it deleted. Yet it was my honest opinion of the photograph, and not an ad hominem attack. The photographer simply didn't like the comment.

My advice to you is this: if the comment was a judgement on the photograph and not on yourself, it's got to be accepted. Refusal to tolerate a harsh judgement on one's work diminishes the photographer more than it does the person who made the unkind comment.

Unfortunately this has gone beyond commenting on just my image.
