I've been helped by Frisca, Justine, scalvert, neil, karmat, manic, alanfreed, and I must have been helped by the general ( GeneralE), but I don't get put in his queue often -- but I see him all the time answering questions. I'm thinking I've been helped by L2 and Konador, but that's a faded memory, and I'm not sure of it. Justine was just last year.

I like it so much better when they're around and addressing things -- or just when they're around. I loved it when Shannon was participating in challenges. But I understand that life is busy, and I do appreciate that they still give their time. New blood is an interesting idea -- but keep old active blood as well. I hate reinventing the wheel.

I would counter counter that confusion, lack of cohesion and misunderstanding are the human condition, and that a democracy is good that can allow itself to show this.

... true enough, but there is a great deal of difference between "being good that it can allow itself to show this" versus these being "all the elements of a good democracy".

There do exist democracies in this world that have every single one of those traits, but many of these cannot be considered as "good" by anyone's standards.

You should check a few EU democracies, Ray :-).
Anyway a misunderstanding, of course they can't be ALL the elements of a democracy :-)) I should have rephrased to what raish already said.

Only DPC isn't a democracy, is it?

It's more of a dictatorship, run by a benevolent, if somewhat negligent, dictator.

Actually, at the moment it's more like a religious organization. The congregation constantly being reminded that they must have faith in their god, who hasn't been heard from since creation.

ROFL.

Not quite fair to Langdon, but not entirely inaccurate either. :D

You left out his gang of evil minions who he dispatches to periodically harass the members ...

Though some minions are evidently as much in absentia as the dictator himself.

I have a recipe that calls for one cup of minions.

...oh wait, it's "minced onions". Nevermind.

I find that substituting minced minons can not only save money, but it adds a subtle richness to any dish.

It can also add a dash of color!!

But be careful, as adding even slightly too much will introduce an intolerable degree of bitterness ... ;-)

Ah, but then it falls to personal preference...which is another way of saying...we are back to the beginning ...again... :D

But at least this way we have a photo for the recipe challenge!

Would minced minions be yellow or red?

Depends on which part(s) of the minion you utilize.

If you are selective, and use only the bellies, you'll find that you can get that perfect yellow color for all your dishes.

Who are ya callin' yellow?! ;-)

Blood-red should be more like it, unless one is a horseshoe crab, in which case one's blood is blue-ish ...

How would you possibly find any flakes around here?

Between this and the red/yellow coloring discussion - you'd think you SC folks are human saffron. ;)

By the way, I do think Slippy would approve of how this thread has turned.

Yeah. The 'forum jester' position vacated and filled all in the one thread. Nice work.
