Single straight male here who thinks this is a great idea. It's hard to find a girlfriend who has an equally bad photography habit.

Oh yeah. Jeremy, did you happen to work on the film "John"?

I told you, JPR, I have a daughter who is great - you just have to wait a few years. I'd LOVE to have you as my son-in-law and we can ALL feed the photo habit! lol!! Seriously - it is hard having a spouse who thinks photos are something you only take once a year at Christmas!

LOL. Yeah, I was engaged once. So glad I didn't go through with THAT. The inlaws hated having their photos taken..."why does he take that thing EVERYWHERE?.."

Thanks for the vote of confidence but I don't think kids like their parents setting them up. :)

I think you knew I was kidding - wouldn't ever do that. But hope you do enjoy find that girl someday and that you also get to take those cameras everywhere!!

Well, I'm unavailable. Unfortun... Um, I mean fortunately. *checks to make sure the rollingpins are all well hidden*... I do have to say that I've looked at some of the self-portraits, and the Profile photos. And aside from the obvious pictoral quality of the photographs I would call myself amiss if I failed to mention that damn some of these gals are HAWT! A DPC dating service would probably result in a lot of happy young men and women.

And now the crotchety unavailable man will sit in his rocking chair and be silent.:)

couldn;t you start one on the general discussion? Or better yet, proboards offer free threads, you could start a forum & link it to your signature & into threads.
How's about that?

...I'll join you there in the rocking chair section...but I will try my best not to be crochety. I have to admit that there are some very dashing and devistatingly handsome men on the site as well, but alas, I shall simply admire them from the unavailable gallery as well. Rooster had a great idea for you single folks...go for it, have a blast...surely if nothing else you can at least send one another a PM or two.

Well, people, I loved your ideas.
Me also single and searching - and female.
Also, I come with a bonus: a gay single and looking cousin ;-)

However.... I'm afraid I live too far for you all...

My girlfriend just dump me because I was spending too much time with photography !

What should I do ?
08/30/2004 09:50:13 AM · #19
Wow, well when it's that big of a part of your life...maybe you're better off... *shrugs* I'm 18...what do I know about dating. ^^;; Anyway, thankfully my boyfriend is very supportive of my "habit" and he even drives me around place when I want to get that "perfect" photo, heck, he'll even pose for me and he hates being photographed. ^_^

Hey, I just tried an online dating thing here in the UK but with no luck even after 9 months. Thats a whole lot of dates. So I'm letting nature have a go and leaving things more to chance. But if any hot girls out there fancy seeing if we 'click' send me a message.

I did speak to one beautiful, intelligent, creative creature on DPC but she's already spoken for. Sigh!!!
