I just came across this video review or the EOS M, posted on PetaPixel a couple of days ago.
While he does make some serious points, and some of them not too positive, the most interesting part of the video is two stop motion sections making fun of Canon for coming so late to the party. |

To bad, I was lighter camera for backpacking and hiking that I could use L glass gnd great results. Good results and not worth the investment, guess I'll wait a little longer or look at other options. |

I went to our local Canon show a couple of weeks ago, and had a look at this camera. I couldn't test it enough to get a decent impression of how good or bad it is, but if I were to buy a Canon mirrorless, I would really want a viewfinder, which rules out the EOS M regardless of its other merits. The consultants assured me Canon won't make a mirrorless with a viewfinder anytime soon. I'm not sure they knew what they were talking about, but it would be a bad mistake on Canon's part if this was true.

That was funny.
I was disappointed in the EOS M, I was hoping for something more like the G11. I really don't care about touch screens. |

I actually do care about touchscreens. I find I miss a lot of shots because I can't change focus points fast enough. But I don't want a touchscreen as a substitute for a viewfinder. I want the choice to use whichever circumstances demand.
So far Olympus OM-D EM5 looks the best fit for me in mirrorless. I just wish the sensor was a bit bigger.
