Are the plugs all the way in and the camera powered on?
If that's not it, try re-starting the computer with the camera pluged in and on.

I'm not sure if the A70 and A60 are identical but on the A70, the camera needs to be set to "Review Images" on the back and then connected and powered on. On the A70 this is a flip-style button that I recall as being blue. It looks like a VCRs Play button.

Are you using ZoomBrowser for downloading?
I had A70 and ocationally similar problem but always maniged to handle it in the end (can´t explain exactly how, it just came bye turning things on and off).
If you go to "My computer" you might see the drive (the memory card or camera). If so then you can find the file with your images in and copy them directly into your hard disk. If not you might go to the control panel and let your computer search for new hardware to see if it´s able to find the drive.
Then it might be adviceable to buy a adapter (or what it´s called) which is USB conected and you can stick your memory card into. Might be easier for your computer to find it that way.
Hope it helps.

Try a different USB port. They are known to go bad.

Card readers connect to a USB port and are *much* easier to use than the plug-in on the camera. Mine cost about $20 or so... and it eliminated a lot of hassle. |

Check the device manager.
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager.
Check in the "Other Devices" category if you have it. Try removing any items that look like the camera, unplug camera, plug back in.
Also, check the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" category, do the same. |

does anybody knows the name of the driver for this camera?
my sistem ( win 2000) recognize it as:
VID_04E6PID_80000040
and it says:
The drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)
To reinstall the drivers please clck.... etc
but when i tryed to find the drivers at the cd rom and at windows update cant find anything...
Does any body use this camera with win 2000?
im started to think the problem is my sistem,.. maybe works with 98 / xp and not with 2000

Looks like you can down load drivers for your camera and the operating system that you are using at this link Drivers
It looks like certain countries might need them depending on where you live, other than North America. There is also a firmwear update for your camera there too. Good luck
