i love b/w photography...thats what i like to do most although i also love the beautiful colors i catch with my fuji aswell...but i want to know how i can combine the two...i REALLY LOVE photography that is b/w with that splash of vivid color....how do u do that....please help...

There are some nice tutorials in the Learn section of DPC.

Here is one that describes a couple methods to perform selective saturation.

selective editing, like hdr tone mapping can can be gimmicky, but used properly it can be a very effective tool to add interest to your image.
