I just hope I can stay above 6. This would be 2 out of the last 3 challenges above 6,
and 2 Free Studies in a row. That's pretty significant for me since I've only
had one 6 (a blue--right place at the right time) in my previous 42 entries or so. |

What's funny is that last night I was talking to some non-photographer friends and they were telling me how much they love this shot. I mentioned I had it entered in the FS, but what gets your friends & family saying how great your photos are is often met with a "meh" by other photographers. So, I suppose I predicted this. Still one of my favorites, even if it doesn't nail the DPC target.

On the flip side of that coin, those folks are not impressed the least by riding a bicycle 30 or 40 miles. It's an average ride for them.

Considering the high standard of the submissions, I'm not dissatisfied. I only hope I'll receive some comments, because learning through comments was one of my most important reasons to join DPC. |

Welp, I erroneously submitted my photo w/ a watermark so needless to say, its been disqualified.
Sucks for me, I always look forward to seeing how the FS scores unfold.
I didnt even realize it until the comments started posting. My bad. |

Always happens when I am real excited about the shot it seems. At two votes it was sitting at 4.5. Ten votes it has climbed a bit. Oh well I still love the shot. Will keep trying to improve on it. |
