Just got off the phone with Canon where I ordered a 7d with the Canon Loyalty Program, for just a bit over 1000 dollars!
I am soooooooo excited for it to get here in 3 to 5 business days!
Since I paid my own way through college, my parents decided to treat me with it as a graduation present. They surprised me with the news last week, but let me do all of the organizing since I am more knowledgeable on how to do it.
Its going to be a HUGE upgrade from my Rebel Xti! |

Hey, graduation was an expected result; the camera's unexpected. Of course you're more excited. But congrats on graduating!

It is here!
I got it from FedEx a half an hour before I had to leave to travel home. I am now sitting at the train station, with fingers itching to play with it, but I don't want to pull it out of my backpack and let people see the treasure I have in case they want to steal it =p
It is so pretty and shiny and awesome!
My brother's high school graduation is this weekend, so I will have plenty of opportunity to play with it, and I especially get to put the low light performance to use.

Sounds like a very well-deserved present! And you probably don't want to open it in a train station with dust and crud blowing all over, don't want to get sensor dust just yet...congradulations and have fun!! |

Congrats! My daughter is graduating with a BS in Fine Arts next month - hope she doesn't see this thread as I cannot afford to get her that expensive of a gift
