"A classic area of photography that needs little explanation. Do your best to make your photograph as refreshing as you can."
just like the description... put a stick front of "V", it'll be refreshing! |

Weather will play a role. I have a two day window in between storms, so I can't procrastinate. After Sunday, I may not be able to see the landscape for a few days due to low ceilings. Will be challenging to cope with snow and ice above 9500'. But, all of that is normal for landscape photography. I'm enthusiastic about hiking a ways under a full moon to shoot during the morning golden hours. |

Best of luck getting the capture you want Richard. Time/weather may pose an obstacle to me participating in this one as well. Seeing how landscapes are so weather dependent, it sure would be nice to have more than a week to complete them once in a while... |

You have that every month, without fail :-) It's no accident landscapes do well in the Free Study...

In the tradition of Hahn, I am announcing that I will not be entering this challenge.
Also, when I spot Richard's entry, I shall throw down a DNMC comment just for fun.
(just razzin ya, Hahn. I wish you the best and am expecting a ribbon winner.) |

Well this is true I guess Robert- didn't really think about that :-O The only difference I can see is that with the Free Study some voters who just plain hate landscapes instead of just voting a landscape image on its merits for the genre give it an automatic low vote. Hopefully those that hate landscapes won't even bother to vote in the landscape only challenge. I say this though fully admitting that as you say in free studies landscapes for the most part get treated very well in the long run by voters. Maybe I am being greedy here :D |

Don't forget the most important thing.
It's an OPEN Challenge. Bring out the trolls. |

Ugh! Snow, rain, clouded-in. +25 degrees. Looks grim for any additional photography the next two days. |

No snow down here Richard. Good solid rain though. I don't have anything for this challenge yet, and it's due soon! I wanted to enter, since we have great options for landscape opportunities here in Colo. |

Currently experiencing gropple. It's unique. Not very photogenic. |

I actually have something decent for this. Not that I think it stands a snowball's chance against all the landscape specialists with mountains in their backyards. "Also ran" will do.

In going to guess none of you wants to see concrete and many of you don't think the ocean counts as landscape, so I will wisely sit this one out. Have fun with it! |

The winner of Landscape V was a very nice seascape. |
