Idiots.

So let me get this straight, anyone who doesn't appreciate your work is fair game to condescend. You understand art is subjective?

CS

I didn't condescend, I insulted (anonymously the person who hit my photo with a 1).

You condescend with each post I've seen so far. Very rude.

Yes, I've heard your nonsense that 1s and 10s are fair votes, but you're the first person I've ever seen who has made that claim here. Most people realize there is a scale and no, there is not scale in the world where my photo gets a one by any intelligent, rational voter. None.

So yes, I will properly vent when someone is going through sandbagging entries with 1 votes. If you don't like it, then tune out.

I have something in the 'tiny violin territory'.

But 4 nice comments.

...could it be because the complaining is so predictable.

If people do not care for something, they tend to vote accordingly ... no trolling there, simply a reflection of what they consider as being good.

We may not agree on this approach, but such is life.

Horses for courses...

If people want to complain bout scores dropping then let them, if people want to complain about the complainers, let them. It's all a part of the site and mostly done in fun (or I like to think it is anyway ;) )

Unless some voters feel it's DNMC? Then you'd vote differently, yes?

Following quote from "Voting based on liking, not challenge".

Except that

1. It clearly meets the challenge. So DNMC is not in play here. If they think it DNMC then they need help.

2. You've glossed over that I don't follow that scale and have not for some time. I use a -3 penalty if they DNMC.

My score is stuck at 4.7x but I've got some pretty good whiskey, anybody want to come over & drown sorrows? Crown Royal Cask No. 16. It's imported from Canada!

Hey Fred, I'm through voting. Wanna have me comment on both images?

aw..shucks...that's so nice of you to offer but i reckon it's better if the comments come naturally. If my image does not evoke enough of an emotion or something for the viewer to feel compelled to comment then so be it. But i really do appreciate you offering to anyway. :)
Regards
Fred

It is one of the highest variation in score recently, with abrupt droppings. Weird... My scores are usually pretty stable after the 30 scores. This one dropped intensively after approx 50 votes

IMHO the reason is that people have different ideas about what is 'grunge'. Each vote is a huge variation for my image. Very happy with my score around 6.9 tough.

I was strictly referring to the variation. Its like a whole segment of people with same views (which I do respect) started expressing their disagreement at the same time. I still think is weird and I do not care (that much :0) about the score.

I have to admit with this challenge I have no idea who is going to win, I can usually pick at least 1 or 2 ribbon winners every challenge, but this one is an anomaly!

Still have any left? I'll join you - although I'm celebrating my low score as part of a wicked strategy to keep my avg score down for the upcoming "Beat Your Own Average Knockout Challenge".

Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :-D

I think I know which one wins, but funny thing, there was only 1 or 2 entries that shouldn't be there, this was my highest scoring voting yet, I had to go back several times to enjoy again. If you haven't voted this one, get to it and enjoy, an awesome display of art.
