As Brent said some months ago, people coming from a very far country should plan this trip a lot of months before. I was thinking of next March. What do you think guys? |
March looks still good for me |

I would definitely be up for it, but can't do either July or September this year. |

in this case i'd say that we should fix something definite for march of 2013 (if we survive the mayan prophecy)
italy's quite small and in a few hours one can arrive almost anywhere so the exact position doesn't matter; the important thing is to have a lot of people!! :D
let's try to get a few other people (including members of the site that aren't active anymore!) and we'll make a super weekend/week out of it.
cheers,

Guys I'm seriously thinking of doing all this stuff.
I'd like to have you here in my wonderful region.
If anyone is interested, I thought of March/April of the next year. We could choose 3-4 days at the beginning of the week so who decides to visit other important cities like Rome, Venice, Milan or Florence have enough time in the remaining 3 days of the week.
What do you think about it? |

It depends on the places. In the mountains it can be cold, but on the coast March/April can be a wonderful period of the year. During the day 70-80 °F (20-25 °C).
In the mountains it shouldn't snow, but you know, mountains are unpredictable :)
Last year we've had the worst snow of the last 100 years, but it was in February.

Would be interested, seriously, but next year will be complicated for me for several reasons. The two original Euro GTG's were a blast. Photography, friends and party. What more do you want? |

It's actually possible that mid-may might be doable for Penny and me, though it's a really speculative proposition right now. |

Putting thread on 'watch' - I am definitely interested, but wouldn't be able to commit until the new year.

Bump for the Sunday readers :)
Tomorrow I'll list here the names of people interested. We don't have to be 100 to do that, but a big GTG would be awesome. I've already organized a GTG for an Italian forum 3 years go and everybody had a lot of fun. And here food is VERY good guys ;)
In the next days I'll show you some places where we could go. I can also suggest you some accommodations for the night, but before doing that I would carefully plan our GTG. But I can say that prices for the night are not too expensive (not more than 40/50 euros per night). |

Thanks for all the effort in advance! And I like your food remark, one of the reasons I want to visit Italy :) |

Guys I've been thinking of this GTG all the weekend and thought that could be a great chance for some of us to meet. Then I read what tome said about it and now I really want to do it.
The only available week for me would be the one after Easter (1-7 April). If there's someone who wants to be here in that period I'll give you further information :) |
