Did you title it "Meh and My Shadow?"

Funny ... I wasn't, then I did in literally the last hour ... I may not actually change my profile pic though ...

I saw a lot of creations I liked as photos, but not as avatars. I am amazed at how many people didn't seem to think about the "avatar" bit at all - photos that are meant to be viewed in thumbnail size have their own set of rules and requirements.

For once, it was really useful after voting to check the thumbnail page to see what they would actually look like as avatars.... I changed quite a few votes at that point (most of them upwards, don't worry).

You have rated 90 of 90 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.2778.

I think people maybe thought more about the "creative self portrait" part, but you're very right. Now I'm wishing I had done something different. Haha!

its bad enough sizing for 800x800 now we have to edit for 150x150 lol

i think the shot in full size will be more telling than its thumbnail size but mine works both ways so just saying

No...your preferences page states that your profile image must be 120x90 or 90x120.

It was an Expert Editing challenge, so the idea was to get creative. Any creative portrait can be cropped down to an avatar. I don't think people should be penalized because their creative, expertly edited photo may end up being cropped to be an avatar after the challenge.

Update your Avatar is the challenge.Wether it is basic, advanced or expert editing is immaterial to me.I have put in what I want others to see, if and when they view my profile.

I don't think it is a case that they "may end up being cropped". The whole entire challenge was all about AVATARS in the first place, it wasn't just another "Portrait" challenge.

I do believe that this was an important part of this challenge - coming up with something that will work as a thumbnail, too.

But before people get too upset with me, do keep in mind that my average vote ended up being 6.2778 - higher than usual and nothing to complain about.

Some really cool images in this one. Looked at them on my phone before work this morning. Can't wait to put some votes and comments in tonight. I agree that some may not work well for an avator but I'm voting on creativity, technicals, and style like I always do. The challenge was to update your avator but it doesn't change the fact that you can use 800 px in a challenge. I'm not worrying about thumbnails. I'm votIng on whether or not I like the image at its challenge size.
