| Hi. I need a utility that can make my 550D act as a cardreader, so that i can backup any filetypes. Not only images. My card reader in the laptop is broken. And i cannot use the software that canon supplied (zoombrowser etc.). They will only let me transfer images. |

| never seen anything like that but it's a good idea so i'm sure someone made one. dosn't your printer have card slots? |

Card readers are inexpensive. Your best bet is to get a new one. One that fits a USB port. I'd be careful using software to transfer your original files, especially if you are entering challenges.

| The utility is EOS Utility. It's on the Canon site. BTW, if you are a Mac user, it has not yet been updated for Mac OS 10.7. |
