Early votes have a brown aura about them. |

I"m starting to get really worn out on the voters and those that have to have the "status quo" in order to give a good score. I'm personally getting bored with the same-o, same-o stuff in all of the challenges, thus try to do something different and as usual it gets slammed for not being "slick" and usual. |

AAARRRGGGHHHH!! I missed the deadline due to "life" things! (been done for a few days too!) I might not have totally flopped this time, which I've been doing often...
What do you guys think?
Oh, he's a "leftover" for halloween...

It's not about what score you get here really is it, it's about you being proud of your image and improving etc or just trying new stuff, reading through the comments on the coin slot a lot of the high scores that I didn't expect had comments specifically naming the photographer which must help your score by ppl either knowing your style etc or your image. I spend about 4 mins max pp which means I never get the look needed to do really well but consistently improved (well few dips hehe) so I'm enjoying the experience |

And you're correct. I have grown photographically, I do enter what I like, which is rarely what the voters like, lol. It just seems that there such a huge bias toward "eye candy" and not necessarily good photography. There are days when I think this place needs to be renamed: "Slick, Stock, Seen-it-a Million-Times, Snapshot Site! Had I not committed to the WPL, there is no way I would have been entering some of these challenges and I will refrain from getting on yet another soapbox with regards to the challenge topics of late! I need a holiday! :P
On that happy note, I'm off to bed. You kids will have to hold down the fort. Sweet dreams! |

Quite a few images that don't feature a baby or a toddler but show kids clearly over 3. Tut tut.
My first submission in a while isn't doing very well, alas. :-(

Really? Haven't looked at entries but that is a tough call to make purely on image. whoops...hope people do have the insight to not deduct points because the toddler "looks" over 3. Thinking about my own entry I'm wondering what goes on in the mind of voters should they try and determine age... Lol |

As english is not my first language I wasn´t sure about the baby/toddler age so I "googled" it and can´t see that there is a clear line of 3 years on a toddler..... 3-4 years and even 5 years somewhere!
f.ex.

BTW, is anyone getting any comments with these skummy votes or are the [WPL participants I"m kidding!!] voters just cruising through low voting for kicks? Two super low challenges...not 1 comment as to why hovering barely above 4! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is a 4.0 in the previous sentence! |

It wasn't me!
You have rated 87 of 87 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.5862.
I'll get to comments over the weekend. |

I had a look through the entries and I don't see any that look older than 3. I teach 3 year olds and I have a neighborhood full of 3 year olds so I have seen my fair share. But everyone's definition of toddler is going to be different so I'm sure those who are borderline are going to get a few low votes. I also googled the definition just to get an idea before voting and most places agree that a toddler is ages 1-3. |
