| Hi, i'm searching for a camera for my cousin. She's going to travel to Porto Seguro (Brazil) in November and i'm a little lost about the last good pentax, canon and other new models that have a good quality. I was reading abou Canon powershot SX200 but i'm not liking the price. With the same money she could afford a sx120IS, which is not that simple or fasto to use like a real compact. heheh what dou you think? |

What is the budget and what are her requirements? Would a good used camera be acceptable for her?

| Well...she's a teenager with no big interests in photography. I was thinking about a fast camera with good settings in automatic and a good performance in night scenes. But this city where she's heading to have nice and beautiful beaches and probabbly a good sun light. I hope i was helpful with the description, heheh! |

I'd suggest one of the Canon A series Powershots. They are quite capable and having a similar interface to your SX100 will make it easier for you to help her learn to use it.
