Since there are a number of people who use Adobe Photoshop, you might add that you can get the EXIF data for a photo from there. In Photoshop 7.0, you go to File > Browse, then choose your photo and the information appears in the lower left-hand corner. You can also hit the "File Browser" button in the upper right-hand corner for the same effect. I'm not sure about earlier versions of Photoshop, but I'd imagine it is similar.

Holy guacamole!! I've been using P-shop for years and never realized it could do that. Thanks for the awesome tip Lindsay! : )

If I remember correctly, PS 7 was the first version to boast a file browser (one of the hot reasons to upgrade). But yep, the exif data is there in all it's splendor and glory!

I was disqualified for not having an exif date on one of the challenges. I looked in ps7, and there is the date. Why then did I get disqualified for no date?

If you are referring to the Banana challenge, the date was recorded on the file we received, but that date was outside the challenge dates.

If you already have the file open you can:
File > File Info > Ctrl+5 = EXIF data
