Hi, welcome to the merry crew. Glad to see you're inspired by the content. Just jump right in and post to a side challenge and or a real challenge. Might pay to get a camera though ;) Cheers

I'm going to appoint myself to "She who answers new camera gear questions", since this will the second time this week I've answered this, heh.

Anyways, follow the steps below. New gear is common, so the site council kind of relies on us to let them know what new stuff we've bought. They're really quick to add it once we let them know.

Help --> Contact us --> DPChallenge - Equipment Addition/Change

Heheh, thanks for the welcomes and advice :)

I'm actually pretty happy with my phone at the moment, Its easy to use with the added bonus of 12MP and conversations whilst you photograph :D Maybe an actual camera will come a bit later down the line :)

ETA, I just did the 'contact us' :) thanks!

And as a bonus feature, it you find an image of your phone on line and include the link in your note, you get to pick the image that will represent your camera for all time, and you save the site council a bit of work.

Hello May!

I have a very expensive camera and oodles of gear to go with it, but would you believe I am a bit jealous of people who are happy enough to call their phone a "camera"?

If only I could be satisfied with using my little phone "camera" instead of the endless gear I lug around on outings with me. My back and my wallet would be SO much happier with me!!!!!

I'd love to see some examples of your 12MP phone photos.

Welcome to DPC - be prepared for all sorts of surprises.... most of them good :-)

Hi!

Oh, I was going to include a photo of the phone in my message :( nevermind. Well Beetle, I would be lost with all of your camera gear, you're lucky to have the brain to understand it :p

I'll post some up for a critique somewhere then ;) Or I would if I could find where.. Can I just link them from Facebook to here?

Welcome to the family, May! I'd love to see some of your phone pictures. You can also become a paid member for -- I think for a month, it's only $5??? -- where you get your own portfolio, not to mention the much more freedom you get to edit and jazz up your pictures to make them competitive with some of the heavyweights around here. Good Luck!!!!

SandyP, I will probably end you doing that eventually, I'm in the UK though, but that should be fine :)
I'll keep on posting!
