I'd love to have a good quality leather camera strap. Anybody have one or know where to get one? Internet searches haven't turned up much of anything I like...

Use with the utmost caution. When they were more common, they were a great way to get fungus and mould on a lens and body when stored for any length of time. |

I'd love to find something about 2" wide. There just apparently isn't much of a market for it... Someone suggested guitar straps with modifications, but I don't think those would work very well. They are a bit wider and a lot longer and would require some serious work to make fit well...

Are there any saddlers in the area where you live, or some other type of leather shop... I bet they could make you one. Similarly, if you found a belt maker, you could order something from them, ensuring that they do NOT make any holes in it.
Just a thought,

I'm getting a little closer... I sent these people an email describing what I'd like to have and will see if they can do it... I'd like to have a strap just like this one but all leather.

Read this in their ad "âWrap something EXCITING around your neck!â and the first thing that came to my mind was........not a camera strap. :O)
Nice strap though,

I have purchased some stuff from Saddleback Leather in the past and I sent them an email the other day asking about the possibility of a camera strap... I got a response that they are actually working on some camera gear for future sales. They also said that the carrying straps for their briefcases could be purchased separately for about $100 and these could rather easily be converted into a really nice strap for a digital SLR...
