I like the 6x zoom, manual focus, super macro and other manual controls. I have checked out reviews and it seems like a good deal for 320 pounds with a free 256Mb card and a charger and set of re-chargeable bats.

If anyone has or knows this camera i would appreciate some advice. Also, can you use different lenses with it? I read somewhere that you can get a lens adapter??

Buy it, I am more than happy with my 602zoom and the S7000 is the latest from the fuji camp, not a DSLR as you will know, but assuming it is the same as mine you can get the adapter tube to enable filters and a few extension lenses to be attached.
I don't know about the type of card or batteries but it will be a great camera for that price, I was lookin at it just before release and plumped for the 602 cos I got a great deal, saved me a lot at the time, but £320 is for nothing.
Only drawback on my 602 is the low light focussing, not very good but I hardly use it. Doubt if you will get anything near it for that price.
Hope this helps,
Paul.

I have already decided on this camera (just about). Now where did you find it at that price with the extras. The best i had come up with was £299.99 on e-bay with no extras, just the 16meg (1 pic) card and normal batteries.
Let me know. CC out the wallet... :-)

Looked at this site. Have heard a lot of good comments. But i would have to pay the TAX on the camera, so may not be as good a price as it seems.

Be careful with these guys.

7 day shop thread

I was gonna use them for my 10d but they ending up being too much hassle. Plus i don't have to pay VAT being from Jersey so the price is not very different to other uk sites. Apparently though you are charged the listed price unless customs stop the package and charge you the VAT. They say this is a 1 in 20 chance of paying it.

i have the 602, and know someone with a 7000. i think the 602 is an EXCELLENT camera, and the 7000 is just the next one up, and it's even better. if you can get a good deal on the S7000, i would go for it. it's a great camera. has all the manual controls and features of an SLR. the only thing you won't be able to do, obviously, is change lenses. there are lots of accessories for it (extension tube, filters, wide-angle, teleconverers) etc. it's a great camera for the money, i think you'd be extremely happy with it.

I love the S7000 it is a big jump for me as I had one of the first digital cameras that came out in Australia the Sony Digital Mavica 640X480 but it served me well.

Difference now is that I can see faces.. Hell I can even see individual whiskers.

Hope u enjoy it and I'd love to hear about any good lenses etc for it!

I love my S7000 ,Got it @ BestPriceAudioVideo.com for $520 + $14 shipping
then got the Fuji $100 rebate. These folks don't try to steer you wrong like other sites I talked to. They tried to sell me Batteries that didn't fit or were way expensive saying that you'd burn out the ccd chip if you used the wrong mah battery , or if you didn't buy any extras they all of a sudden were out of stock!! Best price audio video
Were curtious and very helpful, and talk about fast shipping, I think I got it in like 3 days!!! Check out their site ,they dont have much for extras for the s7000 ,mostly Canon stuff, but there are other sites like Ecost.com that has wicked good deals on memory cards.
