I hear clicking when the 20-70mm tries to auto-focus and it's no longer under warranty. The focus confirmation light blinks and the AF point blinks red.
What's the best course of action?
My other lenses are fine... using a 40D.

You mean the 24-70mm I assume?

You say focus confirmation blinks and AF point blinks, but you don't say whether you actually gain focus or not... In other words, is focus actually failing, or is it just making a strange noise as it focuses?

It does not focus using AF.

yep 24-70mm :)
