First full family Christmas shot in about 5 years. It has been a good week! ... and still enjoying it! |

Shot this image while visiting with Robert and Penny back in 2011.
The unedited version is very flat with the foreground too dark. I
did my first attempt at double-processing in Adobe RAW and am very pleased with the results.

One of the many stunning sites I got to see during my recent trip to New Zealand.
I am not looking forward to returning home where the temperature has varied from a bone chilling -40C to a significantly more acceptable -16C which is where I think it is today.

Another shot taken in New Zealand. Will have more later but right now I am enjoying the sweltering heat of Brisbane, Australia. Have to return to work on February 9th.

It's been a while since I have uploaded any images but the deer seem to like me on Sunday mornings. This is what I had the pleasure of watching from my deck while drinking coffee.

New toy!
This is slightly processed in LR from DNG file. Yes, the drone shoots RAW.
and a 100% crop form the unedited file
always better to click on View full-sized image

Wow - a drone - I envy you a little bit! ;-)
I'm looking forward to stunning pictures and several ribbons that will go with it.
Actually the first picture would have done great in the Pareidolia challenge since I can see a face with nose, open mouth and chin very clearly!
Have fun with your new toy! |

I am actually impressed by it. Exceeded my expectations.
video test #1 2 boring 4K minutes straight from camera
video test #2 1 minute and some un-skillful editing
Thanks!

Awesome videos. The quality is really nice!
Is it loud?
Can you use it anywhere you want?
I'm asking because where I live (Germany) there a several restrictions, of course at locations where it would be most interesting. And there are so many property issues too.
A friend of mine got a drone Christmas 2015 as a present from his wife. When he tried it in the area where he lives the drone went down maybe 200-300m away from his position. There were some houses and hedges between him and his drone. When he arrived where the drone must have landed to get it back it was gone... somebody must have taken it |

I don't consider it very loud. There are (and should be restrictions) where I live but I mainly take it to country parks, isolated beaches etc. It's very portable...
This is its official page. Drones have evolved a lot this last year. |
