The Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown, New York, is currently accepting applications for staff and intern photographer positions.
The primary need is stage performance photography, which is taken during final dress rehearsals. After that, the photographers are shooting rehearsals, recitals, special events, concerts, and more. The photographers̢۪ work is likely to end up in print internationally, including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Opera Now, Opera News, countless blogs and web-based news sources and more.

Photographer: The Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown, New York, is internationally renowned for its new and innovative summer productions of opera and music theater. The Festival seeks a photographer for late May – mid-late August. The photographer will photograph all productions and events, providing images for marketing and publicity, as well as archival purposes. This position requires excellent photography and editing skills, a high degree of professionalism, strong independent work ethic, excellent communication skills, punctuality and a positive attitude. Photographer must utilize his/her own equipment, including camera and lenses, as well as computer and software, and must have a valid driver’s license. Housing and compensation are provided.
