And let the debates begin:
May the Vegetable be the red thing, or must there be something red additionally to the other objects? |

Sadly, I don't own a rubber ducky. Or three light sources. Have fun, though! |

I would have loved to enter this one but the at least 3 light sources requirement cancels this one out for me. |

What about sun and 2 torches? |

I would think that two windows not in the same plane would count as 2 sources, and the third could be your flash, your torch, a reflection from a shiny thing or your own inner light. |

I see them everywhere. Try "NANU NANA" or "Butlers" or any other gift store. |

Thanks a lot. I'm in a miniature town and options are a bit limited, but I'll certainly give it a shot.
Edit: Looks like there's a Nanu-Nana shop 30 minutes away so I think I'm in luck. Thanks.

Oh wow, how wonderful, my all time favourite challenge is finally back!!
I doubt I'll have time to join in, but I'll love looking at the result!!
The first rubber ducky turned out to be THE most creative collection of images, I am so thrilled about this near-repeat. |

may one of the light-sources be the something red?

I bought a ton of ducks last year in hopes that this challenge would arise... sooo now that it has-- i'm going to pull them out and pick a victim...er i mean subject *coughs*
(does the duck have to be in one piece? ;) *adjusts halo-feeling a touch destructive... today* |

I already figure the 'exactly one' means just one ;) :-D no more, no less... but what about reflections/mirrors/ or miniature tiny photos of other ducks in tiny red frames? perhaps she is an old duck knitting (string) in a chair beneath a doll house lamp - perhaps on the table beside her are tiny vegetable slices she was snacking on... carrot shavings maybe... (one light source, her tiny window letting in a little morning light (second light source) when a flash disrupts her daily routine and we snap shots of her...) darn i wish i had the time/energy to set a shot like that up LOL

or maybe its a ballirina duckie, wearing a red-tutu with a little string in her hair in a studio- large mirror reflecting her own image back at her....a little string tied around her neck as a whimsical scarf.... perhaps she has tiny carrot shavings decorating her tutu... ;)

Don't give up, Fred. If you shoot it within range of an outlet, you can use a room light and a couple flashlights. You can use the evening sky as a light source, and flashlights to paint fill light.
Me, I have a secret weapon, but I ain't spilling the beans...
