Dang, that's lovely... As a California guy who was right there at the birth of skateboarding, I can tell you unequivocally that there's virtually NOTHING that a determined surfer/skater/boarder type won't attempt to conquer with some mutant variation of the original gear :-)

A google seacrh for "grass boards" gave, among others, a hit with the following excerpted:

"Grass boards, Mountain, Hill, Dirt, All-Terrain Boarding & Land Surfing Grass Boarding, Mountain Boarding, Hill Boarding, Dirt Boarding, All-Terrain ..."

JejejeĆ¢„Ā¢ I swear, if I were younger (by about 5 decades) I'd be all over this stuff. I still remember "inventing" skateboards, when all the best ones were home-grown from garages.

Never tried grass skating but as a kid I did Grass Skiing a few times - Not much call for snow in the northern part of Australia, so ya did what ya did :-) I was never good at it but some people were just damn amazing.....

p.s. - The spills hurt FAR more then real skiing :-/

Can you skate on grass?

I disagree - I just don't see how that is possible... THINK your skating yeah... I mean site you might THINK a lot of stuff happened but actually skate.... why would you bother :-)...

Another option... My cousin designed this but it is really more like a cross country ski for the folks who want to enjoy their sport when there is no snow around.
