I'd like to join in. I posed a question in dpc last month about buying a point and shoot with a variable focus point and was recommended a Lumix LX3 amongst others. Bought it a couple of weeks ago - would be fun to participate...

My daughter and i will both be shooting with Lumix. For all those with one, stability is a major issue. I would recommend a tripod- i am forcing my daughter to use one against her will because i know it will help her out a lot.

When she sees how sharp and clear her shots are when using it, she will be converted. I plan on using at least a monopod unless the light is really strong.

This sounds like fun. My HP is easier to tote around for random shots and it may get me shooting more again. Please count me in for this one, too.

Ok I have attempted to participate in a couple of recent side-challenges and have failed miserably. Maybe I'll have more time this month. I'd like to sign up please!

I always have my P&S with me during the weekdays. Anyone want to see a pic of a hawk eating squirrel guts??... :-0

Can I use my 7D with a prime lens? It feels like a point and shoot most days!

Adding you in.

I intended on taking some P&S shots at an airshow Saturday, but I ended up bringing my grandson and letting him use my Lumix. Believe it or not, he was incredibly bored. Even by the Blue Angels performance.

I intended taking p&s shots of the RAAF Roulettes flying over the Springfest festival at Lake Wendouree yesterday. Talk about a comedy of incompetence! First of all we left home later than I wanted to. On our way the planes flew across our windshield field of vision - I raised my camera, duh! lens cap was on. We got to our destination and could hear but not see the planes as we parked. We walked to the lake foreshore. Ah, here come the planes - raise my camera - 'Change the batteries'. @#!!(%# I changed the freaking batteries just before we left home - didn't need to, but did it to be wise. Oh well, change them again, I always have spares in my bag. It was a good 5 minutes before they were supposed to finish their 15 minute show - BUT - they never came back.
