Ok. I was unhappy with my score. But, now Nixter's commented and I'm very content, no matter the score.

Also got a nice comment from Nick. I think however that he has got his work cut out for him. Commenting is one thing. Being constructive on all 110 entries(excluding his own) is something else. Like we say here in SA. EISHH!! Now do you guys think we can ask his feedback on the outtakes as well?
Just kidding. Thanks for you feedback and giving back to the photographic community. |

I have to be pretty happy about the score given that I really didn't shoot for this challenge - although I obviously did PP for it.

Favourited by someone whose work I firmly respect, and a nice comment from the man Nixter himself. But as several others have noted, the score has been drifting firmly downwards over the last three days from a somewhat higher start. Not fast, but very regular. Happily this only has another 1.5 days of voting left! |

It feels a bit weird to be commenting on the photos' likeness to nixter's style when one of said photos has been submitted by nixter himself. So nixter, you can probably expect a comment about how good you are at your own style. It's odd for me as well.
Edit: I'm also kicking myself for not trying to open up my schedule more so I could have shot for this. Excellent challenge. And if you want to repeat it, please do.

for the last 20 (slow) votes this has been going up from 5.8750 so I'm very happy with the way this is going. Should definetly make my home page :-)
So many fantastic photos in this challenge made it a pleasure to vote on but near impossible to pick the one I believe is Nixter's. I did pick one (despite many clues it probably isn't his - geographically) so I'm either right or hopefully I've made someone's day.

Doing ok over here, though not breaking any records either. Reading between the lines of Nick's comment, he may not feel it was something he would do, but it had it's interest. I think for many of us, this challenge was more a matter of utilizing some of his techniques rather than trying to duplicate his look & feel.
