At last a score that I think is in line with the quality of my photo :-)
Pity its a 4 :-( but fact is the picture, in my opinion, was not sharp enough though I liked the colours and composition. I should have used a tripod but the trouble is taking a tripod and camera out in London is rather a no-no, I don't want to make light of tragic events but ever since the "7/7 tripod attack" - no thats not right it was a bomb wasn't it? I should know I was caught up in it... but I've been harried by police every time I take the camera out on a tripod now
Q: 'scuse me sir what are doing
A: taking a photo for a competition
Q: oh yes?
A: uhm
Q: its a bit dark isn't it
A: taking a long exposure
Q: Oh, got a special name has it
.... etc
or
Q: what are you doing?
A: taking a photo for a compoetion
Q: can I see
A: uhhh...
Q: thats a lot of photos of the same thing
A: yes I'm get the exposure right
Q: ah... but that ones a bit bright isn't it
A: I'm hoping to do HDR
Q: can you explain what that means sir?

I guess thats what terrorism is about isn't it ? Destroying peoples trust in each other .... sorry rant over ... whatever the picture is worth looking at but definitely is a 4.x |

| I have scores off (better for my sanity), and I won't vote, but I've gone through every photo and I predict I will end up somewhere between 110th - 115th. This is obviously a scientific theory based on the completely objective factors of what I like, what I think the voters will like, and my gut: The triumvirate of veracity, as it is known around my flat, mostly because I hate alliteration. |

Once again as with all my entries lately the results are extremely dissapointing. I always seem to start off with a respectable score of around 6.0000 to 6.2000 after the first 6 to 7 votes and then it just starts dropping constantly. I am now at 5.5 and dropping after starting off at 6.ooo
Problem is nobody gives any feedback at all as to why they vote me so low. Personally I feel I have a nice strong entry with nice visual impact and processing. So what's wrong?

When you hardly ever get any advice or constructive critisism then this site is not very useful for a photographer trying to improve his/her skills.

I also thought mine was also creative (not a flower challenge but a yellow challenge...) and a 2 vote just hammered my score! Come get me trolls!! |
