Judi,
Don't stay still too long -- there is evidence of critters that might become overly interested:
Wishing you a speedy and full recovery.

Speaking of butts, here's my own top fave of hers.

This could almost make me like the horse culture again. (I grew up in it, and have a very honest dislike of it.)
Get better fast... If it were my Grandfather giving advice, he'd tell you to get back on the damned things as fast as you can... Here's to hoping you'll be back in the saddle quickly. |

I cant see your words for tears. They say that is part of the head injury. Drs said I may not get everything back. They say my brain might have had some shearing occur. I believe that is when the 2 hemispheres are jolted in different ways and they break apart in some areas. they say that is why i can think clearly but cant get the words out of my mouth. I can however type ok with two fingers a lot easier than i can speak. I still have problems with stairs and my right hand is not working. I can use the first two fingers. My double vision doesn't bother me too much and my hearing will hopefully settle. I'm allowed small amounts of computer time to keep my brain stimulated but i sleep a lot. I have lost some long term and short term memory, it appears to be all bad memories. I can see faces from bad times but i don't feel any emotion with them. But i can feel good emotion. I look at my images and I know I took them but can't feel the connection with them. I tried to create an image yesterday on the pc but it just wasn't happening. I'm scared, as are my children. My mother-in-law is coming up to help take care of me. They say it may take a few weeks but I may not return to normal. They speak of personality changes and other things. But I am determined to get better and shoot again and ride my horse one day. Those are my goals. I do have 2 entries in voting right now. They will be my last for a while. I am sorry for any bad i may have caused anyone in the past. I don't remember what i did but i know i only want happy positive times. there is so much anger and bad in the world. i don't want any more bad to happen. Please be happy everyone.

Probably the first DPC image that really stuck with me...
Good to hear from you Judi. My family wishes the best for your recovery and will remember you in our prayers. The community will be a little less fun while you're gone but we look forward to seeing you again when you return. Good luck on a speedy recovery cowgirl! |

I can't possibly pick a favorite Judi pic. I have always loved everything that she has done as a photographer. I hope the doctors are wrong and you become the same ole Judy. Good luck on your fight ahead and just remember you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow! I had no idea. And I do follow her on Facebook, but I totally missed it. Judi, I am so so sorry you are having to go through such a difficult scary time. I've heard stories of people recovering 100% from very serious brain injuries, so I am praying with all my heart that you are one of those future victory stories to be told. You have so many admirers, so if throngs of thoughts and prayers make a difference, you should be back to us in no time.
This is one of my favorite Judi images -- but for me, it represents all her amazing work in children's portraiture!

Judi, you will be all right, you are as hard headed as they come, it is just going to take some time and a lot of rest. So rest a lot, brain injuries can take a fair amount of time to heal and the only way for them to heal is rest, rest and more rest. And then some more rest. |

I just spent about a half hour wandering through Judi's portfolio before realizing I will never be able to pick one favorite so I picked this one of her that I really liked.
Praying for a full and speedy recovery for you, red. |
