Registered about six weeks ago and already participated in six challenges and already at 98 comments posted with the majority marked helpful: I'd say you are quite a bit further along than many other members. I am with you in appreciating the images that are enhanced by the tilt rather than just added like an afterthought. Welcome to DPC.
And remember, your perceptions are fully valid as your perceptions. How you react to an image can easily be different than how others react. Nothing wrong with that. Honest comments based on your own thoughts are useful and welcome. The art, mastered by some but not all, is to communicate clearly as one observer rather than trying to come across as exlusive owner of the One And Only Absolute Truth.

Started at six, dipped to 5.4, slowly crept higher: now have two very nice comments. Nice to find many excellent shots in this challenge that use tilt as an important element of the artistic effect. |

Back at 5.47 after going to 5.6 overnight. It's amazing how scores come in groups. I'll get several 6s and score creeps up...then I'll get several 5s and it creeps down.
As I was planning and executing this photo I remember thinking "noone is going to look at this and say '5', their very first reaction will be '6'"! And when doing final edits I thought "6 maybe even 7 as a first thought when this image pops up on a voter's screen" !! LOL....

It's been in the 4.3's since wednesday morning.
I've been registered for a few years, my husband used to enter challenges. He upgraded, gave me his old rebel, said I took good pics and suggested I enter a challenge. I was going to enter Books because I'm a voracious reader but my brother suggested my shot. If it doesn't do well, I'm throwing him under the bus! :o)
