Right now these are the only two I can really spring the money for....trying to figure out which one is best...any input would be helpful, or if you know of another camera thats better for a similar price please let me knwo:0

You are best to go to store and try both, go with the one you like. Performance is very good from either. I have used both Canon and Nikon, very good brands. It has been said the biggest difference between Canon and Nikon is the Badges! Good luck
