Haven't been in the right frame of mind to shoot much for the past couple of months, but with a Candid challenge going on I forced myself to go out and shoot today. Felt as though I was just beginning to get a little of my mojo back. Here's a few from a set that I was kinda satisfied with:

Does anyone ever get angry or whatever when you take their picture in public? I have no idea how to deal with that!

Sometimes yes. I had an incident in Shanghai where a lady got very angry with me, so I just showed her the screen so she could see she wasn't even really in the shot. (She would have been if she hadn't got so annoyed!) I tend to walk on if people are not comfortable. No sense in getting into a fight.

A smile goes a long way and usually it helps dissolve any animosity, I very rarely have any problems.

Can you spot the Camel Filters smoker?

Funny you should be mentioning peoples emotions to you taking their photo, I usually get a good response.
But in these two posts, one guy could'nt get enough of me taking photos of him, and one girl could'nt crack a smile despite me smiling at her. In Manila there is not a lot to smile about.

Great responses! Thank you, and now I wonder do you ever just take a picture and leave or is there some kind of exchange afterward?
