okay so i know most people on here aren't too fond of 1x.com but i was looking through some photos over there and noticed that a lot of the given exposure times are like "10/800" or "10/3200". what does this mean? is it ten combined shots at 1/80 or 1/320 respectively? i have even noticed 86/1 and have no idea what that could mean. i have just never seen anyone note an exposure like that on this site. can anyone shed some light on it for me? |

I think 1x is spectacular -- even though I've never had anything accepted there.
But I've never seen exposures like that... that's bizarre.

fractions are fractions... divide the top by the bottom and that's the exposure in seconds.
(either that or this is a programming screwup..) |

A lot of the time when I look at complete EXIF, I see a nominal 1/320 expressed as 10/3204 or somesuch. So I think that the camera's doing some very precise changes, and the "simple" exif is just rounding off. I suspect those informations are a data grab straight from the full EXIF?

ya i guess that's probably what's going on. I assume we don't see it on this site since we enter our own info. |
