I live on an island. This one I like! :D
Not to mention that the big Swiftsure yacht race is next weekend.
Lol, now watch... I'll end up with nooooooooo entry!
But Hawk, don't you have any toy boats in your bathtub? :) |

| How about a close up of a boat (doesn't matter if it's on a trailer or not), or a toy boat in a tub? |

You have got to be freaking kidding me. I shot over 100 shots of boats at the power boat races yesterday...and I just knew that some challenge would come up that the shots would have been perfect for but couldn't use. Didn't think it would be an obvious boats challenge...but that just stings even more!!!!
Why couldn't rollover be saturday night. And I had some great shots that I knew would have scored high in this challenge. It's not often you catch the winner of the race as he's cruising past the finish line in a powerboat. Or the winner waving to the camera as he passed some 30 ft from me (where I was the only person there with a camera!!!!!) |

Up here where I am there's hardly any boats in the water yet; they don't traditionally go in until after Memorial Day... The challenge is a week too early for me; no sign of "my" skiff yet :-(

I just returned from 4 days in the Florida Keys, so all my good boating shots are out of the challenge dates : P

| It's pouring rain here and 7 degrees Celsius(44F), and i'm getting ready to go shoot for this challenge. Got my umbrella, raincoat, plastic bags, and lots of towels, paper and cloth. Lucky my camera and lens is water resistant. |
