I know this id OT but since I know a number of you guys have done the night shooting in DC thing...
What's it like for after hours parking along the mall area?
What time during the weekday does it thin out so you have a decent chance at a park? |

Bump
I'll be in Dc in a few weeks. I'm interested, too. How about walking around safety around the Mall at night? |

Except for tourists taking pictures, parking and walking the mall at night is rarely a problem. |

I agree. After maybe 8:00, there's no issue with finding parking. Before that, it probably depends on where and what time.

I'm in Maryland right now. Spent the day in D.C. My first time visting. I'm hoping to get back down there some time this week for night shots. Heading to Gettysburge tomorrow. For a West Coast guy, I'm in heaven. Any must see around? |

Thanks guys.... I am down there again next week and I have never bothered with a car when there. This is not a business trip.... so I am staying at well... cheaper digs then past trips for obvious reasons.... read further away from the mall :-)
I was planning on doing the night time deal this time and figured it would be nice to just drive for a change.
Hey Dr: Have fun... It's a cool place to visit.
Ace: For me... The Steven Udvar-Hazy Center is really worth the trip if you are in to planes and seems to be missed by a lot of people. While the one on the mall is cool, this one is better :-) |
