I showed (but not off) some of my portfolio to a friend. After a perusal he said I should have entered a different photo for the free study. While I'm moderately happy with my free study I was wondering what y'all thought
My entry
His suggestion
The suggestion is one of my patented quick-edits, had I even thought of entering it I would have fixed a couple of things on it but the overall look would have been the same.
Just wondering what you all would say? Did I make the right choice?
Do you care? Probably not, but it's your chance to tell me what you think. For Free!!!

I like the second one, but not a little too much NI tho, too plasticky... |

I like your entry better, however, if the other one weren't so tightly cropped on the bottom I think it may have been a better choice. |

Thanks for the comments.
I may have to reshoot the sauna and to get lower included, and alter pp a little.
Hmmmm ... and I was thinking of a 10-20mm present to myself, and the sauna would be the perfect excuse .... :\
Anyone else? Ideas on what's better, what's not, what should have been, what should be, I'm here to learn! |

I like the entry better. Not sure why. I think maybe because the other is too busy and a bit too much contrast... Both are very good though. |

I prefer the simplicity of your entry. You look at it, you know exactly what you're supposed to see. The other one is too busy - I keep looking around trying to figure out what I'm supposed to be looking at.
I gave your entry an 8 in the challenge. |

Hello ........ I just wanted to say that I really liked the frst entry..... and the second... they evoke different feelings in me... the peace of the tree standing guard... and the sauna, no longer functional but resisting complete disintegration ..... tonight I feel like the second one....... (grin) |

When you finish 37th in something as tough as free study, don't be second guessing yourself!
The first one has much more 'DPC Appeal' than the second one, so you did hte right thing. |
