Durrrr, sorry about that. :) It's 12 bits each for red, green, and blue. That's what I get for trying to post while rushing off to work!

All of this is so confusing to me. I want to start entering this week. I just want to be sure about this ratio thing and then if ever questioned be sure I can prove when my shot was taken. I am new to this and it's only been a hobby for about a month. I've had no classes or training but told I have the *eye* ... shrug

I don't know..and from some of the post and personal attacks here on the forum...I am hoping I won't be attacked by the few I see doing this to others. I really hope this is a place I can learn and grow from, add to and enjoy:)

I better check out how I can prove my date of capture and this ratio thing if I want to submit anything this week:)

Please don't hold back on submitting. After seeing your photos on your website, I definately believe you have talent. You can save your exif data by downloading one of the programs the admins mentioned in the help section above. I personally like the PIE program. When I first joined this site in February I didn't even know what exif was. As far as ratios, if you stick to a standard 640x480 image size you will be okay.

Thank you shortredneck:) I will try that out. I have Photoshop and PSP and was going to crop that way if I had to. I do need to be sure I can prove the date of capture so I will try the PIE program. I do appreciate the help:)

ok I learned something new today:) I checked out more about my camera @
//www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/MX17/M17A.HTM and seems it does save in the EXIF mode:) Now to get the ratios right and I am going to go out and find something for this weeks challenge.
