A nice image for the challenge. It would have been great if you moved around such that the light disc was directly behind the Temple, therefore having the glow on both sides....

A good attempt for the challenge. I am not a fan of the border. The colour of it does not seem to match the photo. For me, the border is too red. A black border would have been better. The power pole doesn't add much to the image so cropping it out, and some sky would have emphasised the flag significantly......

Great image for the challenge. A little bit more foreground to really finish off the image would have worked, making a full, black band across the bottom. The sky here is great as the background to the subject, which has been highlighted really well.

A great image for the Challenge. You have really shown the traditional Contre-Jour feel. The person is really well shown against the pain sky background, really highlighting him away from the water........

A great Portrait of a mechanic, showing him in his surrounds. You have managed, through great placement, to make him stand out and be the subject away from the clutter that is normal in a garage. However, the use of excessive fill light in this image has removed any backlight or Contre-Jour feel of it.

The mist coming off the waves is great, especially with the sun catching it. The haze though does effect the overall effect, as it would have been great if the islands were significantly darker than they appear here. Also, the crop to the left, cutting off the background, makes me wonder what is further around, and therefore gives the view a slight 'unfinished' feel, as I dont think I have the full view. The dark strip at the front as well does not add to the image.

OK.......Firstly, when submitting, use all of the allowable pixels........This photo shows up very small and ay details are hard to see......People will mark you down if you submit something significantly smaller than the allowable.
Secondly, you will be getting a lot of Did Not Meet Challenge (DNMC) votes, as her face is not clearly painted. Meeting the challenge strongly will gain you marks. Many people will give this a quick look, not see the connection, and therefore vote you low.
Technicals, the focus is not sharp. Make sure your photos are sharp, and when resizing, use the sharpening tools if required. The light is very harsh, and the crop is really awkward. Pay a lot of attention to the composition on the photo, cropping the very top of her head doesn't work, and the partial hand also.......

The window in this image is a negative, and not a positive. The refelcting lines across the image are just a massive distraction, and interupts the entire flow of the image here. Even the crop is a little tight on the right hand side of the image.........

It might be clear ahead, but I can't see that. All I can see is a blocked road by the car ahead. The kid doesn't really add to the image though, the cropped cars on both sides also don't help, and by the different angles, it feels like I am on a lean too.......
