Black and white is way better Terry. Makes the stonework a feature of the image, whereas the colours seemed to dominate the colour version. The contrasts between the different stone shades and the mortar really works well. Also means the patchy grass isn't noticeable. haven't you been getting the recent rains?

Kel, first question is where abouts is this........I enjoy seeing the different locations, and especially phtos of back home cause i am stuck in cold, wet England at the moment............

The haloing is a detraction in the image. Would have been great had you been able to process and avoid the haloing........I tend to play around a lot with my images, and often get the colouring I like, and then go back from the start and reproduce it while making sure I avoid any major halos
The black and white is good. The large tree to the right though totally dominates the image, which means the row of gums on the far side, and their reflections in the river get missed a lot...........If you could have moved a little further back, then the gum, while still there (
cause it has a place) would then not dominated as much, you would have added some more trees from the far bank and then it would have worked really well.............

Week 6 - Oak in Snow

Very subtle, works really well with the white scene, just having the Oak slightly darker and removing all black from the image........very nicely done

Very Abstract, extremely shallow depth of field, something I would normally dislike...............but

For some reason this really does appeal to me. Maybe it is because you have managed to capture both white and black, and many shades in between, without having either the white nor the black dominate the image........maybe it is the subtle flow of the image with the diagonal lines through it, and that each time you look at the image something else draws your eye.............

Abstract, which is what I think this challenge did need. Sorry about the song, but that is what jumped straight into my head.......Love the composition, the black band and the two areas of colour work so well......this composition works brilliantly.............not voting cause I am in the challenge, but you have one of the better images for the Challenge description

How man torphy houses on a small hill?

Should I guess that the title should be "How many trophy houses on a small hill?"................lots of noise in the image which hurts it. Also, the band across the middle, with grey top and bottom (sky and water) is not great composition

This image is exceptionally dark on my montior, which makes it hard to pick out all the details. In particular, the father and son in the image as extremely dark which doesn't help when they should be the subject

Great image of Southbank Terry.........Enjoying seeing the images of back home...........Shouldn't you be having sunny days though at the moment...........Effect through the yarra looks great here
