Margarita Noirby APComment: The effective use of selective desaturation leads the viewers to focus on the main subject of this image. The directional lighting employed created a sparkle on the face further emphasizing the cocktail.
As to editing, considering the limitations imposed on the entrants, this went quite well. 7/10 |

Spriteby leematthewsComment: Although the challenge is based on basic editing, the entry should have been given much thought and preparation. It would be very unfair if i judged this based solely on editing and not give points for other criteria such as concept, lighting, composition and the overall look to which the other entries excel.
In spite of the limitations on the amount of editing work which could be performed on this photograph, much could have been done to improve this image through cropping, tone/color adjustments and the likes. Nevertheless a point for being on topic :-) |

Expolding Shotby TirascoComment: The overall concept of this photo does not coincide with the subject matter which is Recipe(Beverage). Although the shot of a wine glass or bottle gives a hint, the blue flame and the broken glass suggests this as more of a scientific experiment than a drink. Although i give credit to the preparation and execution of this shot as clearly much time and effort was devoted in creating it.
As to editing, considering the limitations imposed on the entrants, i say its good. Overall I give the photo a 6/10. |

T E Aby bnileshComment: I like the way you used coffee or coffee like material as your background and give good contrast to the image. Initially gave a 7. But I changed my mind. + 1

Tea's Up!by Pug-HComment: The shot could have worked if on the normal orientation, which exudes that refreshingly warm feeling especially on cold days where a hot cup of tee would be nice.
Aside from the neck straining angle, over all concept and composition is OK, editing is good although the highlights could have been tweaked a little on the low side (its just me. I score this 6/10. Could have garnered an 7 or 8 if upside down :-) |
