the futbolerby tcmartinComment: So I'm biased, (play myself) but I really like this photo. I like the high contrast, the depth of field, and the composition, although his pose makes me wonder how he's sitting up. I think the image balances really well. Now if only the feet had all the blisters and grim to prove it :) |

Whereare all the owners on a beautiful weekendby whiterookComment: Was it a stormy day? The lighting, the cloudy sky, and the strong wind you can see on the flags in the background make me think a storm might be moving in. If that's the case it would be a really cool aspect to play up. A more dynamic sky and maybe an interesting or even uncomfortable crop could add to that. Right now the flat lighting and not so sharp focus (camera shake bc of the wind?) are pulling this one down IMHO. Good luck! |

Night Restby hotpastaComment: I'm really curious how you got this effect. It looks like it really is night and you've just utilized the city glow. If so I'm really impressed! I haven't gotten any of my night pictures to look nearly so good yet. |

Underside of Chicago Bean.jpgby wehrmacherComment: Cool! This one keeps you looking for awhile. I second the others, play with curves, levels, and contrast and you should be able to get something really great out of this. Have you tried black and white? It almost is already so I wonder if that would add or detract from the image. |

BleedingHeart.jpgby wehrmacherComment: Wow this is a really beatiful and interesting flower. If you played around more with focus, exposure, and composition I'll bet you can get something stunning out of it. Have you tried isoolating one or two at a time? I just think the individual flowers are so interesting themselves. |

Last Year's Purple Coneflower-4.jpgby wehrmacherComment: This is a good picture as is. Some, minor adjustments and it could be great. My suggestions would be: sharper focus on the flower, maybe a graduated background from light brown at the bottom to darker brown at the top to help keep the eye focused on the flower and not follow the line of the stem straight out of the picture, greater contrast between the browns in the flower and the browns of the background, and a border to hold it all in. Not sure you should even do all of that, but just some ideas. Good luck! |

On The Dry, Napoliby smelli79Comment: So sorry for the random comment, must have happened while I was browsing during voting. I really like your choice of colors here. The green against the almost purple makes a nice contrast. Message edited by author 2008-06-25 04:11:05. |

Freestyle River Boat by vtruanComment: I kept hoping someone would get a kayaker! Too bad you couldn't get the front, still a great action shot. |
