I love the effect of the muted tones in the white and the skin coloring here! Here right eye (the one not under bangs--anatomical right) just explodes out of the shot. There is a soft sensuality here that just brings me in and makes me want to find out what secret she is playing with.

You might call this "Modern Mona Lisa."

You know, your downfall is the fact that I gave this a second look. Right at first I was blown away, then when I came in for the all-over closer look, I found it...the one thing that jumps out at me and now is all I can see.

The white internal border does something weird to this. You could have achieved the same effect by just cropping in to that point. I appreciate the fact that the b&w behind the border is there, you obviously attempted something new, but, for me, it just doesn't work right.

I'm having trouble with the focal technique here. I get very frustrated when there is no obvious place for me to look. If the idea was a soft focus or even an abstract, you haven't gone far enough.
