I Put the "Wild" in Wildlifeby scarbrdComment: I know we don't vote on titles, but this one is so perfect for the shot that it literally made me laugh out loud. What a facial expression! |

Up Close and Personalby fantomfotoComment: whoa! I'm sure others have already pointed it out, but I think you got some color issues goin on here. Unless the greenish hue was on purpose?? |

Birds of A Feather....by jrjrComment: What an amazing shot! i love that you absolutely filled the frame with action to the point that it's almost an abstract. I'm not sure how the voters will feel about the the spot of color, and to be honest I would really like to see this shot in all B&W. Still, my highest score so far, and definitely a fav! Great job! |

Bellycanby macrothingComment: I really like the unusual perspective you've got here. Not an angle you see very often. My one nit pick would be that I would have liked the tip of the beak to have made it into the shot, but that may have distrubed the balance of things. |

The Gathering by karenkComment: I really like the idea behind this shot, and love that you got down low and face to face, so to beak. (oops, speak.) I think a just slightly wider depth of field would have brought a tiny bit more of the shot into focus while still clearly separating the front bird from the pack. Bravo on an interesting and thought provoking shot! |

Weld by fldaveComment: Thanks for your comment Dave. It's hard for me to be mad about getting fourth when the three ahead of it are as excellent as they are! :-) I read your photographers comments and had to grin a bit. A few months ago I was desperately trying to break into the 6's as well, and then BAM, blue ribbon. (almost the same score as yours) Now 6.0 is my new personal benchmark of "success." lol Glad you accomplished your initial goal, and here's to many more like it! |
