Maisie In High Key Colour!!by WendyWooComment: Originally posted by Dirt_Diver: This is a great photo how did you shoot this??? |
Believe it or not this was taken in the front room of Maisies mums house when she was getting ready for her 2nd birthday party. The background was just a cream sofa and walls, and the lighting was just natural diffused daylight. Shot in raw, when I processed it I just bumped up the exposure, which pretty much blew out the background, played around with the colours slightly, really concentrating on the eyes. I am over the moon with this and the b&w one and I'm sure Paula, Maisie's mum will be too!! |

Sunset Over Crontonby WendyWooComment: Originally posted by eyewave: Beisdes it is slightly underexposed, I have to say it is a bit soft and there is banding in some areas of the sky (banding: lack of smooth transitions between tones). Composition is ok, but copuld be enhanced through cropping off 10-15% at left.
Overall not bad for a first try (I did worse). |
Just found out that the 'banding' was because I'd posted it in 'gif' format. Duh! I've now reposted it as a jpeg. Hope this solves the problem! |

Maisieby WendyWooComment: With this one I was lay on the floor and she crawled right up to me! There is only slight cropping on the right hand side as this is how close she was to the lens!! I'll be honest, it was a very lucky shot!!! |
