Always a Speed limit !by banditis53Comment: The sign and the bird make for an interesting and humorous side-by-side comparison. The image seems to be a bit washed-out - unfortunate lighting? It actually seems to be something of a magenta cast - dulls the green a bit and makes the picture look noisier and foggier than it really is. |

Treecoptersby ImagineerComment: Augh - I'm having flashbacks to cleaning my deck, here.... Them otion blur is a nice effect, but I think I'd like it better if the shutter had been a little quicker - the blur here is enough that (at least for me) it makes looking at them hard on the eyes. I like the decision to shoot them against just the cloudy sky - the color contrast is particularly striking. |

Pigeonsby rickhd13Comment: An impressive number of birds, but very out-of-focus and grainy...I don't know if you were trying for that effect, but I find it very distracting, making this really more a picture of bird shapes than birds. |

"On to the next flower"by ladpupmoeComment: Nice colors/composition - focus is on the foreground flowers, though, and the bee is out of focus - whereas I'd assume it was the intended subject of a flight photo. |

I got it!by silverleafComment: Nice, crisp shot - the frisbee being a bit high and blurred, it seems almost less the subject than the trees or pole that are so crisp and take up so much of the frame. I wonder if timing the shot differently, when it was lower, or changing the angle to look more up at it, might have made the frisbee more prominent in the picture. |

Taking Off or Touching Down?by dan_pendletonComment: Nice crisp shot as far as the moth not moving, but I think the lighting did it a real disservice, the glare blowing out the details on the moth almost completely, and even somewhat on the flowers. I would have liked a bit more depth of focus, so that the back of the moth\\'s wings were not so blurry (and the right two flowers, as well). |

ocean of cloudsby samtimesComment: The picture is just a little fuzzy in terms of focus - I'd have liked it either softer or crisper. The buildings capture and hold my attention more, given the variety of shapes and tones there, than the sky does. |

Mr. Happy Escapes!!!!!!!!by boyte1Comment: I don't know about the title, but the photo's nice and crisp and flying...er, floating.... That string sure makes it look like there's no escaping here, though, it's awfully taut. |

Fly with me in my bubble of dreams!by trainComment: I have to wonder what happened when it hit all the pricklies.... :) For all that the bubble is theoretically the subject, however, the focus is distinctly on the sharp points in the background. Not sure if that was deliberate or not; if so, it doesn't quite work for me in this context. The capture of the colors on the bubble's surface is really nice. |

Snailby christyrackComment: This is a really neat subject, but I think the lighting betrayed you here - the light-glare on the snail's body is so bright that the one antenna appears to merge into its body and it's hard to make out any features, at the front. Nice, tight closeup, though; do you have one of those cameras that has to find a white somewhere in the picture, perhaps? |
