Artisan - Wood Carverby RLSComment: An interesting subject - and I like the composition, except the white post in the background, which seems to be sprouting up almost out of the carving. |

Hot Jobby DennisFComment: This is an interesting angle and a good subject. The lighting bothers me a bit - the house/roof and the background seem to be the same shade, making it hard to tell what's going on at the edges; and his face is heavily in shadow, which looks a bit awkward in a challenge that has me looking at the people.
The composition of the photograph - the way the house is on an angle - works nicely, as does the close proximity of the two men, helping to keep focus on them. |

Fishermenby photogooComment: This is a very interesting shot, but my eye keeps following pieces of the boat up and to the right - away from the men who are supposed to be the subject. |

Timeless Youthby dodobirdComment: I loved this one - ghostly and beautiful - it shows fine on my laptop, dim but very clear. |

Aqua Skiesby ArtifactsComment: This looks more like computer-generated art than anything. It's an attractive pairing of colors, and interesting lines, but what is it? |

Church at Nightby nathaliedooComment: It's a pretty church, very clear in the shot - but I admit I find it hard to keep my eyes on it. The vivid yellowing in the foreground makes it where my eyes are drawn, even if it wasn't the intended subject.... Not much to be done about that, I don't think, with all those lights there. |

Butterfly Raspberryby shareinncComment: I love the crisp detail on your subject, down to the antennae and the body being very clear. Nicely off-center, and it works well with the wings balancing it out of the picture and only the antennae extending in. I especially like that your off-center subject is clearly the subject despite not being in the center, because of the focus. |

Shoes in the Rainby DennisFComment: Pretty picture over all. The shoes don't seem much like the subject with all the bulk of what's above the pool, though. |

"Yummy"by ladpupmoeComment: If it weren't for the bit of white, I'd swear this was a picture of my parents' cat. Terribly cute - a nice catch on that tongue! I'm also impressed that the cat is cmpletely clear against the background, and still not miscolored from it. The light caught the left eye a bit, so the pupil is yellowed, but I didn't catch that till staring closely. |
