Bark (Through a bug's eyes)by dodobirdComment: A unique take on the challenge, and a very effective one, though I own that I might not have realized it was bark without the title. I like the focus, the way only the nearest parts of the bark are kept crisp. |

Bikeby HBunchComment: The focus on this one could be a bit crisper, thought obviously with this subject the number of retakes is probably limited. :) Incredible composition and timing to get this one. |

Building (New Stucco and Glass Library)by GraciousComment: I like this one - however, it seems the main area of interest is above, where the opening lets you see the corner of the building above, as well as the shape of the hole leading upward. Yet that area is slightly too light and somewhat out of focus - it looks like the camera's focus was on the lower area, the ceiling of where you were standing. I'm not sure if that was intentional on your part - it just doesn't seem to fit the composition you've created, which draws the eye to the upper center. (The composition works great for me - I just wonder if a different focus/exposure might have made it even stronger.) |

100 beats per secondby marboComment: An interesting take on speed - I'd say that it's a pity the flower is in focus, more than the bee that was your subject, but the flower is lovely in its own right. |

"Water Run"by sfarrell23Comment: This is a nice one, and definitely gives a feeling of speed. I wonder about the composition, though - I had to drag my eye down to the water to get the feeling of speed, since the land dominates the picture in terms of space, and yet seems irrelevant to it. |

Play Ballby Crafty SueComment: You could almost convince me that this is a watercolor painting, instead of a photograph. It definitely catches a sense of speed, but I'm not sure the fuzzy nature of it works to its advantage - it looks as if, taken with a bit more care and presented at a higher resolution, it might have looked like a crisp moment-in-time that could have been quite riveting. |

spinning ceiling fanby shadowComment: Unfortunately, I'll have to take your word that this is a ceiling fan. Apparently it was moving fast enough to be completely invisible to your camera, possibly excepting the left-side shadow. This looks like nothing but a slightly blurry photo of a light fixture, to my eyes...not something that gives me an illusion of speed. The yellow-orange cast is also highly distracting. |

Old; but still quick.by TwocentzComment: Cute - I could wish you'd been able to get all of the dog more in focus - but I'm impressed that you got as much as you did, since matching any movement is a pain. |

The neighbor's dogby lucosaComment: Unless your neighbor's dog is named Speed - in which case, it needed to be in the title - I don't think this really has any relevance to the challenge. That is a very still, posed dog. A cute dog, but a still one. (Also - a bit bright - fur details are washed out where the sunlight hits him.) |

You Might Be A Redneck If ?by DianaComment: Nice shot. I'm impressed hte bird obliged you by hovering almost in place - so rare that you can actually see a hummingbird's feet clearly enough to tell what they are!
Of course, you know that your title is an awful, awful pun. (Good for a giggle, that was.) |
