Very attractive - nice, cool colors, very crisp in the shadows. A bit washed-out as far as detail in the brightest areas, which is a bit of a pity, but a worthwhile tradeoff to get those hints of reflections even in the deep shadow.

*g* Very cute. Like the very low perspective on this one, the grit in the egg. Looks like it could have been cooked there, though the torn-up bit to the right side suggests it was moved - wonder if a slightly different angle could have hidden that without introducing other unwanted elements....

I love the cool colors/feeling of the background, especially contrasted with the warmer colors of the foreground. I could wish the focus felt more "crisp" on the body as well as the face, though.

Very cool (sorry, I had to pun). I like the effect of the fingers through the ice, the difference between the ice and the snow in the background. Please say you were careful to warm fingers up after each take on this one though! Makes mine ache just to think about it....

This is a nice, contented picture - I like the "vintage" feel it has. Not quite sure why it works for me - I can look at it logically, technically, and not see anything to really say, anything that really stands out to me (at my level of knowledge) - and yet it all comes together very nicely.

Nice, nice, nice. This wouldn't be half so powerful witou the sunset for a backdrop, tracing lips and reflecting in the ice. Lovely colors and nice timing, to catch the drop as it falls!

I like this - colors, composition - it matches the title nicely (although, objectively, I'm not sure heat is required for a shot like this, it still _feels_ hot to look at it). I like the buildings, the way they break the line of the horizon. The painterly feel of the sky is lovely. This is not only a good temperature photo, but an excellent photo in general.

I'm afraid I don't get a sense of temperature from this - a definite sense of something night-time possibly involving emergency vehicles or a tow truck, but no sense of temperature. It's quite probable the elements are there, but this image is very small - at less than 200 pixels on a side, it is hard to see any detail. Up to 640 pixels are allowed on a side - there's allowance for a lot more detail than we can see in an image that's this small physically.

File size can be up to 150 k - it looks like yours is only 6k - so even for the physical size of the image, it's probably not giving us very much detail.

If you need help with sizing - check out the forums (see the community link in the menu). I had some trouble with file size (rather than display size) early on and got some great advice from one of the threads there as well as comments on my photos.

This was good for a definite giggle - very cute. Nice layout of the entombed peppers, also. I wonder whether softer lighting might have been better - the light on the peppers and ice cubes works well, but the reflections in the water droplets and off the plastic (?) backdrop, I find a bit distracting.
