Frutta Frescaby scaloComment: Good rich colors, though the focus is soft across all of them. I do like the light on the fruits in the lower left corner. It draws your eye to a darker area and then you can roam the selection of lighter colors.
I would have chopped the banner as closely as possible and used that as the title anyway. Then used the recovered file space to increase the jpeg quality adjustment. |

Running from the Wavesby DrAchooComment: I would have gotten down lower for this shot. the camera is above the head of the subject, looking down on them. Ive found keeping the camera about mid-line on your subject helps the best. It might have been good to see the color in the picture, but then gain maybe not. At least the subject is framed against a darker object in the background. |

A Hidden Treasure Deep Within The Woodsby skasubaComment: Which is? the falls or the rock? The rock is in focus, but it obscures part of the falls that draw your eyes because they are brighter. I keep wanting to see more of the falls, but am blocked by the rock. The items could complement each other if they were not doing pass protection. Try changing your point of view. |

Night Harborby amsmythComment: The picture should have been rotated clockwise some. The boats aren't well lit enough to say that they frame the picture. Nothing in the picture is acting as a focus for your eye, so it is too flat. The lack of detail didn't need to be. You only used 31.87 KB (32631 bytes) of the available 200KB for this challenge. |

Harald Jensens Squareby palfinComment: I don't get the joke if there is one. I'm guessing it is in Danish. So all I see is the side of a truck, a tree, and a title that says it is near a square. This one really needs the title of another picture in this challenge...Why? |

It's ALL in the Horseby msdoubletroubleComment: Just too blurry. Too much is going on. After looking at it more I see the head of the foreground horse is kinda in focus. The area is too small to hold my attention long. My eyes keep drifting off that point and finding nothing. to look at. I do find myself looking at the yellow rope on the ground behind the left horse but like the other point I track off of that. |

Alone with my Thoughtsby ordinaryangelComment: The Jaggies and lack of a firm focus really hurt this picture. The focus seems to be at the subject's feet. Being closer and with a wider angle my have helped that. Also If your camera supports it, single spot focus is a useful tool. You can get the same off center effect by half pressing the button while on the subject, and then shifting your angle. The subject will stay in focus, but wont be in the center of the frame. The jaggies would have been helped by using the full 200K file limit for the challenge. |

dame natureby takinou42Comment: Over sharpened, over compressed and over adjusted. You had 110K more that you could have used to add detail back in. |

Farmhouse, est. 1730by RulerZigzagComment: just too much in this one. I would have taken the choice of loosing the foreground pile, and the sign as well and concentrated on the building. The path is nice, but it leads you to the sign, not the house. I am attracted to the bright object in the center of the wall, but there is no detail there. Looking at the blank wall makes my eyes splash off to the sides as well.
Converting to Grayscale reduced the distraction somewhat, but shooing into the sun clobbered most of the detail on your side of the objects. |
