Fan the Paper Before Installing in Printerby DennisFComment: Too abstract for my tastes, even knowing what it 'is' it comes off that way; if you hadn't said in the title I would have not been sure what I was looking at. Something to ground the viewer in terms of identifying the setting and subject would be helpful. |

Office at Seaby orussellComment: You know, I think I have that compass.
Anyhow. I don't know, this doesn't really scream 'office' to me, although it does say 'job', so it's not out of the question. It looks reasonably natural-setting rather than staged, which is nice. |

one for the scrapbook by indigo997Comment: You know, this is an amazing photo and the old-fashioned items are just keen, but I'm not entirely sure it would be my first choice for 'office'. I don't say it's OFF topic -- I was one of the people who noted a home office would count, and this sort of is -- but it's just not what I'd have thought of.
I mean, this is an amazing photo, I'm just wondering why you chose to do it for THIS challenge.
I love the lighting, the tone on it, it could come straight from a Film Noir pic even though it's got a more hopeful feel to it than that.
The only thing that looks even vaguely out of place is the fan -- was that style of fan really around in the 40s? |

Making the Cutby adineComment: I gather you were going for the whole 'pink slip' thing but honestly a pink sheet of paper with "Layoff Notice" typed on it seems to be, I don't know... wrong. I'm not sure I get the scissors thing (even with the title). Conceptually a bit too abstract in general for me I suppose. |

The Highlight of My Dayby smellyfish1002Comment: When you pun, god kills a kitten.
Very arty, sort of poster I would expect someone to hang on their wall at college style. Nice bright colours against nice dark background. Not my personal thing, but I can see other people wanting something like this. |

To the Pointby TerryGeeComment: I'm just going to start hunting down everyone who includes a CD in their shot and hit them with a fish, I'm afraid I've already burnt out on it...
Okay. Granted, the prism-effect is cool, but did you HAVE to?
Also, the background for this is really bright and distracting given what we're meant to focus on. |

Neon Glowby andrewlrComment: Well, it's definitely officey looking (in this case I'm assuming medical office). The logo seems to be throwing an awful lot of blue on the background, which means it doesn't stand out -quite- as much as it might otherwise, though the very bright edges obviously do. |

Cyber Loveby dsidwellComment: Okay, this is the third time I've looked at this and I'm still not sure what I think of it. It's an interesting idea, but the expression on the visible face doesn't seem to go with the title, and that's part of what's throwing me. The problem is, I have no suggestions for what would have to be different before I was sure I liked it, so I'm just going to leave it at that one thing and vote and move on. Sorry... |

Working Clownsby ewebComment: It would appear you have some strange coworkers.
Yeah, this is on topic, but I don't know, it doesn't really grab me. |

Requisite Toysby lizardbethComment: Bobble-head Ted? That's probably the most apt bobble-head ever!
I think I would have preferred the background figurine be in more focus than it is. I understand the stapler for context, but maybe that could have gone behind and the toys in front... I don't know. |
