It has nothing to do with the subject except in an implied way. The image is somewhat out of focus.

It doesn't have anything to do with the challenge's subject except the name

Thanks for your comments and for voting. Glad you liked the picture.

I have to say that I agree with voyeur and Arron_christensen. I knew from the beginning that some parts of the iguana were overexposed. My problem was that I was able to caught the iguana in its natural habitat, at about 2:30 p.m. at the beach, so the light was terribly harsh and strong and the iguana was partially in the shadows. I took a few shots were there wasn't overexposure, but the rest of the iguana was way too dark, and my built in flash wasn't enough to light the scene.

The thing about the composition got a little tricky to me. I didn't like the idea of having the iguana's face right in the center, but I didn't want to make a crop in a way that it would appear smaller in the frame, or the same size, but just the head, and I wanted to have the tree, because I think that diagonal helps to direct the view towards the iguana, and also liked the texture.

Anyway, I guess in the end it wasn't a very fortunate composition and I should have experimented more with the cropping to end up with a better one.

Thanks again everyone for commenting. It's always helps to learn.

Congratulations on your ribbon!! I gave this picture a 10, because I think is flawless. From the moment I saw it (and the others), I pretty much knew it was going to win. And I was right! Such a beautiful image and place. You're really skilled. A very much deserved ribbon.
